New Year Walk 2007 around Yoxall 07.01.07 |
|
This
year's New Year walk was an eight-mile circuit around the Yoxall area,
starting at St Peter's School, and taking in no fewer than six of our
previous work sites en route, including Jerusalem Hill steps and Yoxall
Lodge. Also, on the way, Despite
the weather (which didn't turn out to be anywhere near as wet in the end as
the forecast had predicted), we had 15 people on the walk – a good
turnout. In case
you're wondering, the six sites visited were: 1) St Peter's School, Yoxall
(where we installed the pond a few years ago, and more recently did some
clearance work on the pond and wildlife area) 2) Jerusalem Hill steps
(constructed over three sessions in the summer of 2006) 3) Bond End footpath (two gates
installed in 2003) 4) 5) Yoxall Lodge (large bridge
installed Nov 2006, and an even bigger one to be done later this month!) 6) |
