JULY
Thu 2nd	8.30 pm	BCV monthly meeting at The Alfred, Derby Street
Sat 4th	7.30 pm	Richard III at Derby
Sun 5th	10.30 am	Allotment session
Tue 7th	7.30 pm	Oxfam Evening of Entertainment. There will be an evening of entertainment with the runaway writers, plays, poetry, short stories and monologues, at Oxfam, 12-13 High St Burton. Tickets £3.00.
Wed 8th	6.00 pm	Winshill walk & wildflower survey. Postponed from last month. Contact Lawrence for details.
Thu 9th	7.30 pm	Lynn's Healthy Eating Talk at Branston Water Park. In aid of the National Osteoporosis Society. All BCV welcome.
Sat 11th	10.00 am	Canal Walk from Shobnall to Branston organised by Staffordshire Wildlife Trust, and co-led by Lawrence. Transport will be available back to Shobnall at the end if required.
	10.30 am	Stretton Community Day, Stretton Church Hall. Setting up a BCV stall from 10.30 am onwards. Also a work party in the churchyard and vicarage, with a barbecue in the evening at 7.00 pm – food provided; bring a bottle.
Sun 12th	10.30 am	Kingfisher Project. Meet at the Horninglow Basin. (Was originally planned to be Stretton Churchyard, but the work there is almost complete.)
Sat 18th	10.30 am	Lawrence's garden
Sun 19th	9.30 am	Walk in the Peak District. Richard is organising a walk of 10 miles in the Eyam area (weather permitting). Wooded valleys, open moorland, and magnificent views. Meet at Burton Town Hall at 9.30 am. Bring food and drink, and suitable clothing and footwear. Cost approx £5 per person to cover petrol and parking charges.

Sat 25th	7.30 pm	Lawrence's bash, Part 2. Old Cottage Tavern
AUGUST
Thu 6th	8.30 pm	BCV monthly meeting at The Alfred, Derby Street
Sat 8th	10.30 am	Saxon Hill School, Lichfield. Maintenance of the woodland area, and a chance to look at the new water feature and discuss future developments.
Sun 9th	10.30 am	Kingfisher Trail, Burton
